Microsoft has recently rebranded its Xbox Music service into Microsoft Groove, and now the company has issued the update to iPhone and iPad users, as well. Thus, iOS users can now download an app update that not only makes the rebranding complete, but adds new features as well. Here's how the changelog looks like:
  • You no longer need Groove Music Pass to use the app! (Certain features still require it)
  • New app name and design
  • Music in your OneDrive music folder now appears as part of your collection
  • In addition to playlists, you can now download individual songs and albums for offline use
  • Filter your music to see just what's available offline
  • Various bug fixes
Microsoft has already rebranded the service for Windows 10, Android, Xbox One and the web and now the change is coming to Apple users, as well. Microsoft has decided to rebrand Xbox Music into Groove so that its Xbox brand could be focused on the company's gaming efforts.

The app has a new dark look, as well, but in terms of design, it seems that some work still needs to be done on the iPad version, as users still need to press the x2 button for an optimized user experience.
