My 64GB iPad I memory is filling up. The memory summary is as follows:
Audio 15.23 GB
Photos 10.57 GB
Apps 5.82 GB
Books 334MB
OTHER 21.81 GB
That leaves 4.39 GB free.
Can anyone tell me what's in the OTHER category? Can I get rid of some of this?
Obviously I can delete some photos or music if I need more space, so I'm mainly curious about the other category.

Thanks

Other is filled with data used by apps as well as the operating system.

You can regain some of this space by noting which apps are space hogs. Some (Facebook, BBC News, Reuters etc) grab space for themselves, and never release it. The best way to deal with this is to delete the app and reinstall it. There is no way to do this automatically, as far as I know.

Hope this helps.
