IS there a way to empty the inbox. After resetting my iPad I have 500 emails in my inbox.

Sent from my iPad using iPF

There's an easy way to remove them all at once. In the inbox, tap "Edit":

Select one message (1) and then tap "Move"(2):

Hold "Move" and deselect the email. Release "Move", and this will appear:

With 500 emails, it might need a little bit of time until it completes.

Choose the folder where you want to move the emails.
    Hope that helps.

Yes J, you " Brainiac " - if you write an email, you are half way through and it disappears, my friend told me there was a way to get it back! You know anything about that? Kind of the opposite of delete and more like an up delete? :) ;)

Peace begins with a smile. :)

Maybe it's in Drafts then. I don't know of another possibility to find it.

I'm sorry JA. I intruded on the wrong post. I thought you were talking about getting them back once they disappear! Please accept my apology! :(

Don't worry. Sunni14's question was already answered.

This doesn't work with the new mail 7.1. Anyone know how to do this with the latest Mail? I don't use mail, I use Boxer since I have multiple email accounts, but Mail is taking up a lot of memory.

It does. I tried it. See my screenshots. I'm on the latest software.

When I tap move, the list of mail boxes appears, and the move button disappears so I can't hold it.

It should work this way. You choose the mailbox where the emails should be moved.

    Maybe this is more precise:

    image-2733254218.jpg

    In the Inbox, tap "Edit"

    image-348601546.jpg

    image-1023093543.jpg

    image-2203568711.jpg

When you lift your finger, the "Move" button will disappear. See my last screenshot.
    Hope that helps.

Ugh! Tried this. It only works for the ones I manually select. I must be doing something wrong.

Select only one email - the first one. Then tap Move and hold it. Deselect the email you selected before, and lift your finger from Move.
