I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, people’s resourcefulness and ingenuity and dedication to creating amazingly unique gadgets, and in this case, entire vehicles, never ceases to astound me! Take this video, for example, as featured on The iPad Fan, which showcases the “world’s first turbine-powered Batmobile”, which aside from being just totally cool anyway, also just happens to have an iPad installed in its dash, which is used as an avionics system, and also to provide GPS information. The amazing car is the creation of Casey Putsch, and uses a Boeing turboshaft engine straight out of a naval drone helicopter, which gives the 2,800 lb. supercar 385 HP of power. According to the description on YouTube, the Batmobile runs on kerosene, diesel, or jet fuel, and has a power-to-weight ratio comparable to that of a Dodge Viper. As you can see from the video, the car is registered and insured to run on the road in the US.
