Lost camera Icon

Hi I'm left scratching my head here so help would be appreciated, the camera icon has vanished On my iPad air 've no idea where. I have looked in restrictions not even showing up as an icon in there?? I've pushed home button and on/off button together still nothing any ideas. Siri does not seem to be active so cannot search three

Hi, welcome to iPF!

The Camera app is a built in app and can't be deleted. It can be hidden - if you disabled it in Restrictions.

If it's enabled, it could be on a homescreen you don't use often or in a folder on one of your homescreens.

You can use Spotlight Search to look for it: on a homescreen, drag from the top to the bottom - just a bit - to make Spotlight Search appear. Enter "camera", and if the app is not restricted, and Spotlight Search is enabled to look for apps as well, it will appear there. It will also show you where it's hidden, if it's in a folder:

If you still can't find it, go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset Home Screen Layout.

Hi I have tried search bar nothing came up and even in restrictions there's no name or icon thanks for replying

Is this your own, private iPad, or is this a company/business/school device? It's possible that an administrator prohibited the use of the app, if it's not your own.

Is there a profile set up on your iPad? Maybe this is the reason for the missing app icon.

If it's your own, try resetting the homescreen (see my edited post), reset all settings (you'll have to go through all your settings afterwards to get those you prefer), and as a last option erase all content and settings and restore it.
