The tutorial is just about as A-Z / step by step as I can make it. It tells you where to download the firmware from when you are ready to jailbreak in the preparation stage. Have you even read it yet?

BUT as I said, before you jailbreak, just "update" in iTunes. That will get you on 4.3.3. You don't need to do anything else than press that 1 button to update to 4.3.3...
Don't make the process any more complicated than it has to be!
One step at a time.
Post back when you have 4.3.3 installed and working. To be clear, all you have to do is press "Update". If you run into problems, post back with what went wrong.

Supports the VGA and any other apple video connector... So yes.
And preferences on the iPad, If you are checking your software version. Aka the settings app.

Also from reading another display thread, it was said that displayout won't work on 4.3.x, is this true? Should i downgrade since that's all I'm looking to do once JB? Mirroring via hdmi that is.

It works on 4.3.3. That's what I am on and I use it a lot. Also, it is up to you. Snow breeze is more complicated, requiring you to use iTunes to jailbreak. Redsnow might be easier for a beginner. Green poison would be ideal but they haven't released that yet.
