I'm sure I've probally pushed the wrong sequence of buttons but my IPad has frozen it won't even respond to the on off switch, any ideas please ?

Hold down both the on/off button and the home button until the unit reboots

Opened it up this morning, battery was dead but at least It appears OK. Thanks
