Hi, I know something happened either when I tapped to bring up the keyboard or something like that and ever since there has been a locked icon on the upper right corner. The another problem is when I am charging my iPad 2 and Normally, the green power up is there same as before but for example the percentage on the upper right corner goes like this backwards 62% 61% 60% and not in the normal order of powering up green icon with 60% 61% 62 % I've never seen that before. What is going on please help ? I have attached a picture of what is going on with my iPad 2 so you understand what am talking about, Please Help ?

The icon is the Rotation Lock. If you move the iPad you can view it in the same fixed plane when this is switched on. The setting is in Control Centre.

Welcome to iPad Forums!

The icon that shows the lock means your iPad is locked in landscape orientation. This means when you turn it into portrait mode, the screen won’t rotate. To get rid of that icon, and unlock the orientation, swipe upwards from the bottom to show the Control Centre. Look for an icon that looks like this:
4E0E5E37-669A-423B-B706-8F8A6D929D95.jpeg

and tap it. (Your screen will not look the same as mine in the screenshot.) The icon will change colour, and when you rotate your iPad, the screen will also rotate again. The icon at the top will disappear.

Maybe your battery meter needs recalibrating. Let your iPad battery run down until it turns off, then charge it completely. If that behaviour persists, force start your iPad:
Press and hold Power and Home button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. As soon as you see the logo, let go of both buttons. Your iPad will power up on it’s own.

Hope that helps.
