I am new to this and was wondering if there was a way to link my iTunes library to iPad without uploading it all. Would home share work? I also do not have wifi and only have 3G. Thanks.

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

You can use iTunes to only sync some of the music, videos, photos etc. Read this Apple article on how to do that

Managing content manually on iPhone, iPad, and iPod

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

It’s free too.

Outside my iPad, or was it inside?

iTunes Home Sharing is restricted to Wifi use only, there have been attempts to fool it into working over 3G but without much success.

So if you are a 3G user, StreamToMe will be a much better suited solution.
