Lightening camera kit doesn't work with cybershot

Hi,

Just got a Sony cyber shot DSC-HX20V and when I connect the camera connector to it it isn't recognized.

Does anyone know if this particular camera will work? I've heard sometimes you need a powered hub in between. I only have a very old hub and that didn't seem help.
I connected the iPad to the port that connects to the PC and the camera to a powered port. That didn't work.

Any help would be appreciated!

Does it have a sd card? Do you have the USB/card reader adapter? Try it this way. I have two digital cameras and one works one doesn't via USB. My Kodak camera plays the same video type too so videos are transferred as well as pictures.
