hi, not sure if any 1 has posted anything like this, i bought ipad about 2 months ago for my disabled husband as his 1 arm is paralysed and it is his only way he can write keep track of dates appointments etc etc (as he has damage to the brain) etc . he relies on this and a large black line/panel has appeared tho the screen just above the unlock slider. at first it was grey they it went black tried restarting and restoring but nothing! if its buggered then obviously i will go to the place where i purchased it but thought i would ask here first..
