Kindle notes

I would like to take notes and/or underline in my Kindle books. Is there any way to do that? Some app or ???

You can touch on a word, and an option box pops up for "note" or "highlight" at the same time as the definition of that word appears at the bottom of the page. I haven't played with it much, but it might be enough for what you need to do. (all right on the page you're reading)
