Access the email account through a browser. Try to remove them there.

Hello - please let us know which email service you are using (e.g. I'm on Yahoo Mail) - as already suggested, visit the site on a browser and manage your spam/settings there - the native Mail app on your iPad is simply downloading what is coming into your mail server. Dave
