Got an iPad 4 today, cellular, on iOS 6.1

Upgrade to 6.1.2 and jailbreak, or jailbreak as is, or upgrade to 6.1.3 and leave alone?

Well, you can only upgrade that iPad to iOS 6.1.3. You cannot put iOS on it.

You can use the evasi0n tool to jail break it on your current iOS (6.1), so all is not lost. Just know that is you upgrade off your current iOS, it's only to iOS 6.1.3, which is not jail breakable [probably never].
