Regrettably, I never backed up my iPad apps before updating to iOS 6. When I bought my iPad,I was directed to iTunes Canada because that is the origin of my credit card. Somehow, I also ended up purchasing apps from the iTunes UAE ( Dubai ) because this is where I live. To reinstall the apps from iTunes UAE , I need to login, but logging in seems to always bring me back to iTunes Canada. I really would love to get those apps back. Any ideas? Thank you

Currently, Apple thinks you reside in Canada because of your credit card.Have you thought of getting a UAE based credit card and making it the payment method for all your Apple purchases. This should solve your problem.

Lost iPad apps?

I had the exact same "problem". Now when I leave Canada for extended periods of time I make sure not to use my Canadian credit card to purchase apps. I make sure that Canada does not consider me a resident for tax purposes. Whereabouts are you again, somewhere in Dubai?:D

Trust me,,,you don't want a Dubai credit card. They are so incompetent and corrupt, they make Canadian banks and credit card company's look Boy Scouts. I'm looking for a solution to access the UAE iTunes Store.

How about an iTunes gift card from Dubai?

Your Dubai and Canadian Apple ID's should be different.

Are you saying that you end up back in the Canadian store when you log into the App Store (at the bottom of the Featured tab) with your Dubai Apple ID?

Trust You?? Incompetent! Corrupt! "Only select countries have the iTunes Music Store available including Canada, U.S., members of the European Union, Latin American Countries, Australia and New Zealand. You are required to use a credit card registered in any of the above countries to purchase music from their stores. The iTunes store in UAE as well as in many other countries do not support music yet." Apparently purchasing a iTune gift card in the country you reside enables you to access other stores regardless of country and purchase music from there.
