iTunes not showing iPad

    iTunes is not showing my iPad when I connect to it. I am getting this message... This iPad cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started... Ive had this problem since updating my iPad, so I thought I needed to update iTunes. But the problem is still there... Any help would be much appreciated... Thanks
