itunes freeze?

I read that itunes is currently on freeze for a few days. Can someone explain to me what that means exactly?

It means that no apps will be added and prices will not change. So, everything in iTunes will stay exactly the same for a few days.
I assume it is to help with the high volume of downloads around christmas.
