iTunes disappeared from my iPad. How to restore?

I know this is crazy but it has happened.

I don't know how or why but iTunes has disappeared from my iPad.
There is no icon and when I do a search on my iPad for "iTunes" all that comes up is a link on Safari to "search web" and "search wikipedia".
Does anyone know how I can restore iTunes without resetting my iPad?

Try this: Go to the Restrictions tab in your Settings app (General - Restrictions) and check to make sure you haven't turned on the restriction for installing apps. Note that if the restriction is on, the toggle should read "Off" (because restrictions is for whether you allow something).
