iTunes could not restore the iPad

    Just bought my Wife a new iPad Pro 10.5 and we can't transfer all her stuff over from her old iPad gen4. We've deleted the old backup several times and reset the new iPad but it keeps saying the backup is corrupt or not compatible with the iPad that is being restored.

    I managed to do everything fine with my old iPad gen3 to my new Pro so what's the problem?

    Which software is installed on your iPad Pro? It should be either exactly the same, or later than the one on the iPad 4. Otherwise you can’t use that backup, until you update the iPad Pro.

    Well done that sorted it but we had to upgrade to IOS 11 which we wanted to put off a little while. Never mind though it's all set up now. Thanks for your help.
