I tried to download a film via iTunes on my PC but it failed. If I now download it to the iPad, will I be charged twice?

As long as iTunes account is the same, no.

Thanks for the reply, for some of us the risks are too high. The avatar is a clue.

Are you certain this is true for music downloaded directly to the device and not just apps? It seemed different when I attempted to download a song I purchased.

Regarding you 'side note', Nowadays, I can't find 'free' and legal avenues for electronic media that doesn't come with advertisements unless the media is in the public domain. I'd love to learn how you do it.

You will not learn how to do it on this forum.

The qualifiers 'free and legal' makes me think that I'd not learn to do it anywhere. ;)
