The iPad mini at this time doesn't have a retina display......and the odds don't look good that the next mini will have it either from what they're saying. May have to wait for next years model to have a retina display.

True. If hardware performance is the main buying criteria then there is hardly any difference between the mini and the iPad 2. The new mini will likely have a retina display but that may be delayed from what news sources are saying.

IPad 2 is the best choice. is cheap, very light, easy to carry, memory wise, and has the best apps there!
