does anyone know any ebooks to learn ios? would be better if speciffically for ipad..

afaik, i only find books to create games/apps for ios, but not books to understand ios itself, i mean the architecture of ios, how it work, and the integration with its hardware etc.

i found some webpages, but so far not any books yet.. do you?

Did you look in the iBook store? Searching on iOS programming returns a bunch of books that should get you on the right path.

If you are new to the iPad, there is also a free iPad user guide on the book store if you are looking for more info on the functionality of the iPad and IOS.

If you feel like learning how to develop your own apps you can do so for free. Go to iTunes on your iPad, click on 'iTunesU' at the bottom right hand side, select 'Universities and Colleges', then scroll to Stanford. Scroll right through the courses and you'll find a 25 lecture course on programming iPad apps. It's free and, by the end of the course, you'll be able to program some simple apps yourself. It's a great resource from one of the best Universities in the world.

It's now available at

Developing Apps for iOS (HD) - Download free content from Stanford on iTunes
