1. Due to the recent site upgrade, the iPadForums (iPF) App will no longer work. The new iPadForums.net website has been designed from the ground up to work perfectly from any mobile, tablet, or desktop computer using the built in internet browser. Create a shortcut to iPadForums.net on your home screen by following these steps: Create an icon for iPadForums.net

specifically, the latest version of netflix blows because it no longer has the 'resume' list of movies. to get back to that movie, one has to searching all over again, which is a pain if you're like me and are moving between several movies at a time.

    thx

If you have not synced with iTunes since you upgraded the Netflix app, then you can put the old version of Netflix back on from iTunes.

To do, delete the updated app from your iPad. Then, connect the iPad to iTunes. In iTunes, croll through the available list to find the Netflix app that's in iTunes. Ensure there is a check mark next to it or drag it to the iPad window. After that, sync the iPad to iTunes. You will then have the older version on your iPad. Just be careful in the future to not upgrade it from the App Store (and you will have to deal with the constant red update badge).

If the old app is already gone or updated, check your computer's Trash. If it is in there, save it to another location. Then, you can delete the app from iTunes. Then, double clicking on the old app will put the old version back into iTunes. From there, you can do the steps to transfer it over to your iPad.

Hope some of this helps. Good luck.

As far as I know, the old apps must be updated for the newer firmwares, otherwise they wont even work.

Thanks, Marilyn! That worked perfectly - we hadn't synced with iTunes since upgrading to Netflix to 2.4.3 via wifi on the iPad (1st gen) so I deleted it on the iPad and synced with it checked in the Apps tab. Restored it just the way you said it would ::happydance::

The new version seems to have lots of problems, it was driving my wife crazy and being able to roll back to the old version with your instructions has saved the day :)

Hurray! Glad it worked for you. Again, a word of caution - make a copy of that version on your computer (for when/if you accidentally upgrade it in iTunes).

Thanks for coming back to tell us it worked. Always glad to hear back ... especially on the success stories. :)

    Hi all,

I did buy Gplayer 1.1.09 but I want to downgrade to 1.1.04 because it supports AC3 sound.

I downloaded the "Gplayer 1.1.04.ipa" version from the internet. Then I deleted v1.1.09 from my iPad and installed the 1.1.04 version in iTunes. When I drag the 1.1.04 version from the iTunes Apps folder on the iPad it pops up an message "The app was not installed on the iPad because you are not authorized for it on this computer". It probably complains because the "Apple ID" and "Purchased by" of that version is not mine...

Is there anyway to install this older version?

    Many thanks!!!!!!!

Sorry, but no. And the reason is because you are correct - the app must be downloaded from the AppStore with your account in order to properly work on your iPad/itTunes.

So, we can't help you. Maybe you could get in touch with the developer and see if they can help?

Thanks! But that is really too bad and not very flexible of iTunes :-(
So I bought a useless Gplayer.

Is jailbreaking not an option then?
