Hello I'm wondering if there is a substitution method to move space by space or character by character on an iPad because there are no typical arrow keys like it would find on and standard keyboard? I have found using my stylist or my finger very klutzy and on precise does anyone have any suggestions please?

Yes. Put your finger on the screen and hold it there a few seconds. A circle that looks like a magnifying glass will put up showing you where the cursor is. Just move your finger in the direction you want to go, let go, and start typing at the new location.

You could get a bluetooth keyboard. I have a Logitech Ultrathin which I love for precisely that kind of thing.
