Which way can one make screendumps on an iPad?

= another method to read off-line, for example parts of maps and so on.

No need for an app - just briefly press the Home and Power buttons together and the iPad will take a screenshot and transfer the resulting image to the Photos app.

Thank you Tim, this worked like a breeze ...

... actually I found in my Photos app that I had taken a few sreendumps before - without intention and without knowing so.

1 thing only: If take the screendump in landscape, the resulting photo will be turned upside, no way to turn it inside the Photos app.

But this is a minor thing,

If you go to the App Store and search for Adobe you'll see they have a free photo app there that can rotate photos.
