Is it possible to setup PayPal to pay for apps?

Hi all, bought my toddler an iPad1 for Christmas instead of a Leapfrog Explorer. It has been a hit! I have not regretted my decision and have taken advantage of the many free apps for kids. However, there have been a few occasions when I wanted to upgrade apps or purchase an app. The problem is that I don't feel comfortable inputting credit card info into the iPad. Would like to pay using PayPal but can't figure out how to go about it. Is it possible to use PayPal in the App Store? If so can someone please explain step-by-step? Thanks much.

I don't know about using PayPal, but have you thought of using iTunes gift cards?

I would use gift cards as it is a lot easier

Any store that sells gift cards is likely to have iTunes gift cards for sale.

You can also buy gift cards on the Internet. Here's the irony, if you have an online account with Amazon, for example, you can set up Paypal to pay for the gift card!
