Ipod app multitasking with video apps

Ok I need some help with this one. I have some training videos that have no sound and I watch in oplayer or similar. I want to listen to music from the ipod app while i am watching the silent video. Howevr the ipod app always shuts down wen I open the video up. The ipod seems to pause and when i bring the remote up for it and press play it still does not play unless i shut the video player app down. Any suggestions appreciated.

Because OPlayer can play audio then, when that app is active, it has complete control of the audio and the iPod app cannot continue playing. This is a 'limitation' of iOS and there is, I'm afraid, no way around it.
