iPhone and iPad Mini Apps

If I download an app for my iPad, will it also automatically download to my iPhone too and vice versa? There are some apps I want to keep separate, e.g., Kindle and e-readers since I will only use them on my iPad. Thank you.

It depends how you have your sync settings setup. If you have automatic downloads on both devices then yes, if you don't then no.

So if I go into settings > iTunes/Apps and un-click automatic downloads on my iPhone, then apps that I order for my iPad will only be downloaded to the iPad? Thanks for your reply.
