The report said the new smart phone will most likely be called iPhone 6, and is expected to have larger screens with a higher-resolution liquid display. The new device is expected to come in two versions with a 4.7- or 5.5-inch screen, both up from the current 4.0-inch panel. The report also said the phone will have components for fingerprint sensors and chips for liquid-crystal drivers. Apple shifted 5m units of the iPhone 5 in three days when it was put on the market in September 2012. The release of the newer 5s and 5c models were the first Apple handsets with different price points, but the phones sold a record-breaking 9m units in the first three days after their release in September 2013.
