iPad2 very slow after iOS8 install!

Turning off the gestures didn't make a meaningful difference for me.

Anyone else using an iPad2 noticed a distinct slowing down of virtually everything?

Yes, my IPad2 is extremely slow -1. warming up (see apple, then black & you can't tell if it is going to warm up or not). 2. Using Safari, pages constantly say "problem and must reload when nothing appears to be wrong. 3. Calendars showing weeks blank & finally after shifting from weekly, yearly and then back to monthly; entries usually return. Does this sound familiar to anyone. I only updated to iOS8, because one of my magazine subscriptions only would work with 8.
