Ipad2 touchscreen issues. Some areas don't work.

Having similar issues, but on the vertical access near the left side of the screen (left if button is on bottom and camera on top)

You should make a genius bar appointment at your closest Apple store. It sounds like you may have a malfunctioning digitizer.
