ipad wont cut on!!!!

Jus got this thing 2 days ago...took it off charge and it was 100% charged...wife had it on her lap and she wont using it so it fell asleep....now it wont cut on!! Hold power button and nothing, press home button and nothing.....any help please?

You mean turn on? Did you hold the power button and the home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo?

Yea jus did that after I googled it as I was waiting for a response....and it works now....why does that happen?

I don't know why but it happens to me quite often now.
