iPad w/o computer?

The Apple store can start it for you if you do not currently own a pc. But as mentioned above you need one to back up your apps.

Just found out that the iPad cannot subscribe to podcasts on its own without a computer. I don't understand why this is not possible, but apparently you have to sync with your computer every time you want to update your podcasts, unless you want to individually download each seperate podcast. This is a ridiculous missing feature on the iPad.

Yes, your correct this is very annoying. However there are apps you can download that do this.
