iPad to older tv

i wanted to watch videos that are on my iPad Pro on my older tv which has only rgb connections. I bought a composite cable at the Apple Store that was made for the old 30 pin connectors, plus a 30 pin to lightning connector. This did not work - no connection at all.

Does anyone have other suggestions to me?

You are probably better off getting a lighting to VGA adaptor, and then VGA to RGB. I found several of both with a quick Google search.

No personal experience here. I only recently decided I needed an iPad to TV/projector solution. Because it's all newer I used the HDMI cables and adaptors.
