iPad sync to Kiddle Fire

Anyone using the Kindle Fire and unable to sync between the iPad2 and the Kindle? On my old Kindle, I could sync by iPad to the current page read on the Kindle.

You don't sync directly with the Kindle Fire, the kindle app on your iPad syncs with the Amazon servers which sync with your Kindle Fire. That way,books purchased,bookmarks,etc. are shared between all Kindle devices and apps.

That's exactly right, as Scifan has stated. In addition, the cool thing I like is that it saves it's bookmarks between devices as well! It's like magic!!

I understand that it does not sync with the Fire, but it syncs up to the last page read on the Fire. My pc and iTouch all sync without any problem and I just can't figure out why the iPad won't. When I try to sync on my iPad, in the upper right hand corner of the screen I see the little "circle" running like it is trying to connect with something or downloading something.

I finally found how to turn off "annotations" on the iPad and now the books all sync, I think!!!
