This morning, the wife's ipad screen and all pictures look like someone drew on them with pink marker.

AND a lot of the areas on FB and other apps have turned pink..

Hasn't been dropped, software up to date, no new apps

    Suggestions???

    Tx

Try to reboot the iPad and see if this helps.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - let go of the buttons.

If that doesn't help, restore it and see if that works.

Could you have [accidentally] activated the "Invert Colors" option? You can check this in your Settings app (General > Accessibility > Invert > Colors). If that's ON, then just turn it off.

Also, to explain how it got activated, it can be set up so that a triple click/press of the Home button can/will activate the Invert Colors. To check to see if that is set up that way, check in the same area (General > Accessibility), but this time, scroll down until you see the line titled "Triple-Click Home." Press that line and you can then see if the trible click function is assigned.

If that's not it, sorry, then I don't know what the problem is.

Hold in mind that views can be from guest viewers that come here via a search. That, and even active members rarely comment unless they have an idea of what is going on.

Anyway, it could be a hardware issue. If sections of the screen are no longer displaying the red, green, or blue channels then colors in those locations will be off. Try changing your wallpaper to a white or light color and see what things look like. Assuming the previous suggestions don't work.

Another way to tell if it's a hardware vs screen problem. Take a screen shot and mail it to yourself on another computer or device. If the coloring is still there, it's software. If not, then it is probably hardware.

If you iPad is less than a year old, you should still be under warrantee. In some countries (depending on your consumer rights laws) that may be two years.
