IPad ringing

i just got a phone call on my IPhone 6 and my iPad rang at the same time. This happened a
couple of days ago too. How do I stop it from ringing.

This is a feature of iOS 8 and is one of the items in the feature set called Handoff where your other devices on the same WiFi network as your iPhone can make and receive phone calls, relayed through your iPhone. To turn off this feature, go to Settings>FaceTime>iPhone Cellular Calls and slide the switch to the left so no green is showing.
