Ipad not synching w/ Zaggmate keyboard

Hi,
The keyboard synched yesterday, but today after I downloaded (sigh) an app for Skype, the keyboard won't synch. Briefly (momentarily) flashed Magellan roadmate, otherwise, although it says now discoverable, it remains not connected. The battery is fully charged.
Suggestions? Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

I'm thinking you mean paired them with Bluetooth rather than synced. Turn Bluetooth off then on again and try again. If that doesn't work try a restart and/or reset of your iPad.
Restart - Press and hold the power off button, the one at the top right. You will see a slide appear to power off, slide this and the screen will go dark and a Whirly will appear. When the Whirly disappears your iPad is now off. Press the power button again until the Apple logo appears, this will take a few seconds and your iPad will restart. You should restart your iPad occasionally also as it will keep it running well. Now see if it is operating.

Reset - Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you may see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start. Let us know how you go.

Thanks, but...

Many thanks for your prompt replies and good suggestions. I followed your instructions---turn off and on keyboard, shut down ipad both ways--and Zaggmate is showing "Not Connected" Briefly, a message showed "handsfree" not connected, but that's gone now, but the Zaggmate is still not connected.

Any other suggestions?

Have you paired the iPad with anything else? You mentioned Magellan roadmate, is this a GPS device? Have you paired the iPad with this device before and is it on?

I'm only trying to pair with the keypad -- those other messages just show up.

PS: I live in an apartment building: Could it being trying to pair with one of my neighbors' devises? What to do?

Certainly sounds as if it could be......especially if you don't have those other devices.
