iPad just shut down

My iPad just shut down tonight. It still had about 50% battery life. I tried recharging it in an outlet, and plugging it into my computer and nothing. It is only 4 months old.
Any ideas or suggestions?

You are not the only one.
There is a similar thread in the forum, with the exact same complaint.

Press and hold the home and sleep buttons for a few seconds to reset it. Might bring it back.
