IPAD hungs when backing up and sync

    My IPAD will not back-up so new software cannot be installed, what could be the problem? I shutdown the computer (Windows 7) but still did not fix the problem.

    May have to put iPad in DFU mode to update but you will lose all info. Research online how to do this.

    Open iTunes on the computer, go to Prefrences, the Devices tab. Delete your current backup and try syncing again. A corrupted backup will often do what you describe.
