i have an original IPAD, which i have been using an Email called Entourage, for about a year. it is the same one i use on all my other Apple comps. i use AT&T

i went to sync it last wed. and after that, only about 2 or 3 emails show up in the inbox a day. i get about 30 a day to my account on the other computers. No settings have been changed that i know of.

it sends outgoing mail just fine and when sending to myself from the IPAD, i rec. just fine.
what could have happened ? it started right after i did a sync, which i don't do that often.

To the best of my knowledge Entourage is not available for the iPad, though it is possible (so I believe) to sync it with the iPad's Mail app.

However that syncing would be for things like calendars and contacts. Your email account should be set up directly on the iPad under Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. From your post I can't tell if you mean that AT&T is your email provider, or that you have an AT&T iPad. If AT&T is not your email provider please let us know who is and maybe I can make a better guess at what is going on.

In the mean time, if you have not done so try these general fixes for misbehaving iPads.

When you have problems with an app it's a good idea to clear it from RAM.

Close/Clear the app: With the problem app closed, double tap on the Home button to get the multitask bar. Tap and hold on any icon in the bar until they jiggle, then tap the minus sign on the problem app. This will remove it from RAM and insure a clean start the next time you launch the app.

If that does not work try a restart,
Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears.

and then a reset if that does not work.

Reset: Hold down the power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears. The iPad will reboot. This usually takes a bit longer than a restart.
