iPad email problem

Friends are reporting that when they receive emails from me there is a dot in the
"From" section of the email. What do I do to fix this? People are afraid to open my emails, so I'm putting my name in the subject line. There has to be a fix for this.

Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. In the Accounts section at the top select your account. Tap on the the Account line where it shows your email address. In the Name field, make sure you enter whatever name you want to appear in the From line of your sent emails.
