Hi, im trying to setup my email in my IPAD 3. My provider is TERRA.COM.BR and my IOS is 6.01. The TERRA PROVIDER use IMAP protocol (and i use this IMAP email in my iphone and notebook). Pehaps, in my IPAD, the IOS only recognize this email with POP Protocol and without any chance (or boton, option...) to change to IMAP. The IPAD only setup the email automaticly. Can someone help me with this ? (PS: I´m sorry about my english, i´m learning yet! :)) Thank You. Marcos (from Brazil)

I don't know the answer, but iPad does support IMAP. Your probably need to hook up to the right servers. Might take a custom setup rather than an automatic one.

It's there in Mail, Contacts, Calenders, but you have to dig down in the menu structure. I suggest you contact your ISP to get the proper info for the IMAP server. Apple uses some kind of system known only to them to figure out usage settings...but the process isn't always perfect. Your ISP is the best source. Call, tell them you want your iPad on IMAP, and see if they can guide you. You might wan to check their website for details first, however.
