Can anybody tell me if when you order and iPad to the UK if the charger comes with a UK 3 pin plug?
If you order from the US it'll come with a 2 pin US plug. If you order from the Far East you'll probably be able to specify what you want.
You can of course order (or buy in PC World for instance) from the UK and it then comes with the UK 3 pin adapter.
The adapter just looks like a 3 pin plug with a USB slot in the back.
Mine ordered from Apple UK did!
if you are looking for the charger batteries, you can look here, iPad portable charger, Movpower 5200, very useful, portable charger.
The US adapter is auto voltage sensing so can take either 110V or 220V so will work anywhere in the world even if it's not shipped with the UK plug. Instead of an adapter or converter, just pull off the actual plug part from the charger (thanks apple for making this 2 separate pieces) and you'll see that there's a normal figure-8 plug in there (see adapter type C7 on this page: IEC connector - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). Then just go buy one of those from a computer or general merchandise store and it'll work...
