Hi all,
Trying to figure out why this IPAD isn’t backing up when I charge it on wifi.
iCloud Drive is on, ICloud backup is on.

Just charged it from about 20% power to 100% overnight today and it says last backup Feb 5th!! Must have charged it 3 times since then??
Sometimes it backs up, sometimes not?
Been doing the manual “back up now”. Plenty of storage space. Hardly using half the storage capacity.

The wife’s backs up fine under the same circumstances....Thanks......Ken

Is your device up to date? The latest iOS version is 12.1.4.

Make sure you have enough iCloud storage space. Go to Settings - your name - iCloud - Storage to see how much is left. If there’s not enough, either make space in iCloud, or buy more iCloud storage space.

It’s using 1.1G out of a possible 5G

Yes.....it’s locked. The case is closed and the screen dark.....Ken

Make sure your iPad is connected to Wi-Fi when it’s charging.

If it is, restart your iPad.

If that doesn’t help, sign out of iCloud and sign in again.

One more option would be to reset all settings (Settings - General - Reset). This won’t remove any data from your device, it will set back all your settings to default, so you’ll have to go through the Settings app and select everything you prefer.

Thanks, I’ll give them a try when it needs the next charge and yes, it’s always on wifi.
