iPad apps will NOT close - no wiggling

I've owned every iPad since the first day the first one was available. You'd think I'd be able to sort this one out but I just can't! Anyway, the problem is that I cannot close my apps. I know the drill and it doesn't work. Double tap home button, depress app icon and....they don't wiggle. It worked about a month ago, though. I re-booted (because that works a lot of the time, even mysteriously) but...nope.

Any advice? I don't want to delete the apps, just close them.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

With the introduction of IOS7 closing apps changed a little......it's even easier now!

Once you have double pressed the home button or done the four finger swipe up to reveal your multi task bar with open apps, just swipe up on the image above the app icon and it will close. Much easier I dare say!
