AppleInsider reports today on new photos that have emerged that are said to show a case for the forthcoming iPad Air 3, due to launch in the first half of this year. The photos were first posted by MacOtakara, and appear to show that the iPad Air 3 will have several of the features that were first seen in last year’s iPad Pro.
The most notable of these new features would have to be the Smart Connector magnetic port, first seen in the iPad Pro last year, which was used primarily to connect the iPad Pro to its Smart Keyboard.
The iPad Air 3 case design also reveals that, as has been previously rumoured, the new tablet will have four speakers instead of two, but other than that major change, its design looks very similar to that of the iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro.
However, the way in which the camera hole has been cut out has also led to speculation that the iPad Air 3 will have a rear flash camera, which bears out previous leaks of designs that were claimed to be for the new tablet earlier in the year.
