Do you mean your 'Contacts'? If so, I don't think your able to do so.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

I'm sure there is a way to establish groups for emails, just can't remember what it is right now.

The IPad Forum is a community of members from all walks of life and from all over the world coming together to share our experiences and to help each other learn about this wonderful piece of technology the Ipad. There are two ways.

One. Sync with iCloud. You can create and edit your contacts on the icloud.com site. {from a computer browser}

Or, use a third party app to import/sync your contacts. I can't offer advice on this, not having used any. I'm trying to find a link to a recent thread that mentioned an app that let you sync your Google Contacts, including groups; but I'm not having any luck locating it.


It's easier on a Mac, but I suspect that's not an option here.

Thanks so much! I managed to help my friend with his challenge by sharing the link for the app MailShot. It did just what he had hoped ... allowed him to create group contact lists. I appreciate you taking the time to give me these suggestions.

Ah, MailShot. I though you wanted to see groups in the Contacts app. I'd have mentioned MailShot if I'd known you wanted groups for emailing.

Glad you figured it out on your own. :)

You can try "Groupy". It allows you to edit your group names, delete groups, add groups, and edit which contacts are in a group.

Just loaded Groupy. When I tap a contact to add it to my newley created group I get and error message "cannot add members contacts are synced with exchange or gmail. Only Apple can solve.." HELP
