iPad 3 will not restore

Hi. My iPad 3 will not restore. iTunes gets stuck on waiting for iPad screen and eventually says could not restore error code 9 I have tried many different leads and computers. Any ideas? Thanks

Make sure computer and iTunes are up to date.

Force your iPad to restart:
Press and hold Home and Power button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. As soon as it’s visible, let go of both buttons. Your iPad will power up on it’s own.

Then connect your iPad to the computer and try restoring again.

I have tried that. Computer recognises ipad but same error.

Use DFU mode to restore it:
DFU Mode for Dummies

If that doesn’t help, contact Apple Support.

If DFU mode won't work it usually means there's a hardware issue.
