iPad 2 refuses to updateto 5.1

Hi,

I am new to this board. I am happy to be here among the other iPad users. I have a question: My iPad will not update from its current 5.01 to 5.1. When I go to settings on the iPad and click on Update, it keeps telling me that there is an error. Why? I have not had problems in the past with updating.

You might want to try doing the update from your computer. Doing it OTA will only patch the OS. Doing it from the computer will replace the whole OS.

Hi there-hope you can find resolution to your update. Be patient as it will take a little longer to do the update with the PC as Kevin says, it will be the full OS Replacement.
